Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams born August 20, 1974 Aviano Italy American actress. Famous for her critically acclaimed portrayals of charming, innocent individuals. Adams began her career as a child of seven in Castle Rock Colorado. Mid-1990s, she started professional dancing and performed at Boulder's Dinner Theatre in Colorado and Country Dinner Playhouse. Then, in Minnesota, at a local theatre, she was a cast as a character in an unrealized documentary film about beauty pageants called Drop Dead Gorgeous. Following her successful screen debut where she played an annoying but pleasant contestant, Janet moved from Minnesota to Los Angeles where she began an acting career professionally. She appeared in a range of cult films over the decade that followed, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from 1960) as well as Living It Up (1954) which starred Martin Lewis.
