Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson gained international fame for her role in Buffy Summers. In the cult classic Buffy the Vampire Slayer, she played Rebecca Becky Granger. The native of California, Swinson began acting at a very young age. The path she took to become an actor began with advertising, where she appeared in a variety of commercials. She appeared in an episode in the NBC sitcom, It's Your Move, in 1984. She debuted on the big screen two years later in the 1986 romantic comedy Pretty in Pink. Swan is known for her blonde lisp and her breathless voice. In recent years, she's moved from main roles to secondary characters. She won an award called the Young Artist Award in 1989 for the Best Young Actress in Horror or Films with a Mystery in the film Flowers in the Attic.
