Jenna Fischer is best known for her character Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television show The Office The Office, for which she received an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress and Two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance by An Ensemble Comedy.
She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but her family was primarily from St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna's mom Anne used to perform in church dramas when she was younger This sparked her passion for theater.
Following the conclusion of The Office, Fischer, an actress trained in theater, returned to her home base. The Off-Broadway show she starred in was the production Reasons to Be Happy that was directed and written by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. She went on to star as the first woman to appear in Steve Martin's latest production Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking performance in The Old Globe Theatre.
The Office star Angela Kinsey's most trusted friend on the real world and Fischer started her own podcast, the Office Ladies podcast, on Earwolf, in October of the year 2019. The podcast soon became popular. Each week it ranked among the Top Ten in global downloads which topped 200 million downloaded in the beginning two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Awards in January 2021.
She's published two books: The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide where she outlines her journey to Hollywood acting as a professional as well as Office BFF's, Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends who Were There, a memoir of the best relationship they shared and their time in The Office.
